NCGOP Chairman Robin Hayes Statement on Biden’s Visit

North Carolina Republican Party - NCGOPRALEIGH, NC – “Vice-President Biden’s trip today is a great opportunity for him to discuss the titanic debt that the Obama Administration has placed on the shoulders of my children and grandchildren’s generation. With unemployment for recent college graduates having been as high as 19% in North Carolina under Obama’s watch, it’s clear that more of the same failed policies from Biden isn’t what is needed to create jobs. After three years in office, one thing is clear: while Obama and Biden’s promises may sound good on paper, the reality is that they have failed in the short-term, and Obama’s increased deficit-spending is dangerous to long-term prosperity.

While Vice-President Biden will be talking about Obama’s “next budget”, it is very important to note that this would actually be Obama’s first budget if it passed. One of the main responsibilities of the United States Government is to pass a budget, and Obama has failed to do that. Even when the Democrats controlled all three chambers of government, they couldn’t get it done. It has been over 1,000 days since the last time a budget was passed. The iPad didn’t even exist at that point. That fact highlights how outdated and ridiculous the Obama Administration has been when it comes to financial responsibility with taxpayer money.”

It will be interesting to see if Biden employs these same failed promises in his speech today. If they didn’t work in 2009, 2010, 2011 – how are Obama & Biden so confident that they’ll work now?
