Registration Still Open For East Carolina Summer Baseball Camps

East Carolina University (ECU) PiratesGREENVILLE, N.C. July 9, 2012Registration remains open for 2012 East Carolina summer baseball camps head baseball coach announced Monday morning. The ECU baseball staff will host four camps over the next two weeks (July 15-22) at Lewis Field inside Clark-LeClair Stadium and interested campers should apply online.

Baseball Summer Camp Schedule

Pitcher/Catcher Camp
Dates: July 15-17, 2012
Location: Clark-LeClair Stadium (Greenville, N.C.)
Cost: $250
Camp Overview: This camp is designed for players 10 years old to rising high school seniors. The main emphasis of the camp will be basic pitching mechanics and catching fundamentals. Following the six instructional sessions of this camp, players should have a detailed understanding of pitching and catching mechanics. Registration will begin at 1:30pm on Sunday, July 15th. The camp will feature morning, afternoon, and evening sessions. The camp will conclude at 11:30am on Tuesday, July 17th. We will include breakfast, lunch, and dinner for boarding campers, while lunch and dinner will be included for day campers. No games will be played at this camp.

COMBINED – Pitching/Catching/Hitting Camp
Dates: July 15-19, 2012
Location: Clark-LeClair Stadium (Greenville, N.C.)
Cost: $400
Camp Overview: This camp is designed for players 10 years old to rising high school seniors. The main emphasis of the camp will be basic pitching mechanics and catching fundamentals, basic hitting fundamentals as well as, the mental approach of hitting. Following the instructional sessions of this camp, players should have a detailed understanding of pitching and catching mechanics, and a good understanding of the mechanics of a high level swing. Registration will begin at 1:30pm on Sunday, July 15th. The camp will feature morning, afternoon, and evening sessions. The camp will conclude at 11:30am on Thursday, July 19th. We will include breakfast, lunch, and dinner for boarding campers, while lunch and dinner will be included for day campers. No games will be played at this camp.

 

Hitting Camp
Dates: July 17-19, 2012
Location: Clark-LeClair Stadium (Greenville, N.C.)
Cost: $250
Camp Overview: This camp is designed for players 10 years to rising high school seniors. The main emphasis of this camp will be on the basic hitting fundamentals as well as, the mental approach of hitting. At the conclusion of this camp each camper should have a good understanding of the mechanics of a high level swing. Registration will begin at 2:00pm on Tuesday, July 17th. The camp will feature morning, afternoon, and evening sessions. This camp will conclude at 11:30am on Thursday, July 19th. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided for boarding campers, while lunch and dinner will be included for day campers. No games will be played at this camp.

Prospect Camp – For Jr. High HS Players
Dates:July 20-22, 2012
Location: Clark-LeClair Stadium (Greenville, N.C.)
Cost:$325
Camp Overview: This camp is designed for rising 7th graders through rising high school seniors. This camp is intended for the serious baseball player! Instruction will be advanced yet tailored to players of all abilities and skill levels. This camp will prepare the player to play baseball at the next level. The High School Prospect Camp will teach players grades 7 and 8 what it takes to be a successful high school player. The College Prospect Camp will teach players grades 9-12 what it takes to be a successful college player. Registration will begin at 1:00pm on Friday, July 20th. Camp will begin at 9:00am on Saturday, July 21st and will conclude that day at 9:00pm. The overall camp will conclude on Sunday, July 22nd at 4:00 p.m.. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided for boarding campers while, lunch and dinner will be included for day campers. College and High School Coaches will be the primary instructors for this camp.
