A Fundraising Dance sponsored by… Friends of the Museum of the Albemarle, TowneBank of Currituck, and Wells Fargo Bank
Elizabeth City, NC – On Saturday, September 29 (7 pm – 11 pm) the Friends of the Museum of the Albemarle look forward to presenting an evening filled with fun and entertainment as we host a fundraising dance themed “Pirates’ Jamboree Remembering the Nags Head Casino.”
As the Museum works to recreate the image of the old Nags Head Casino as well as entertain with the Pirates’ Jamboree theme, attendees can look forward to a great night of dancing to tunes played by Beach & Blues DJ, Harvey Taylor and local band “Out ’n the Cold”.
Taylor will begin at 7:00 pm playing a mix of popular and legendary music from shag, beach, and party line dancing as well as a little slow music for our “Pirate” sweethearts. Around 8:00 pm the ever popular band
“Out ’n the Cold” will be playing the legendary bluegrass, rockabilly and classic rock tunes that they are so well known for. Taylor will then resume, continuing until 11:00 pm. Along with the great music and dancing, the ticketed event includes assorted snacks and soft drinks (provided by Pepsi) as well as the ever popular game of pool and pinball…both with “free-play” courtesy of Riggs Amusements. Also available will be a CASH BAR with an assortment of libations.
Attendees are encouraged to dress in Pirate costume to be eligible to enter the Pirates’ Jamboree King and Queen Contest.
