TEAM UNVEILS PROMOTIONAL GIVEAWAY SCHEDULE FOR GAMES THROUGH JANUARY
Charlotte, NC October 4, 2012 – Bobcats Sports & Entertainment President & COO Fred Whitfield announced today that single-game tickets for the first half of the 2012-13 season will go on sale Monday, October 8, at 10:00 a.m. Single-game tickets for games through the end of January will be available at the LifeLock Box Office at Time Warner Cable Arena, online at bobcats.com or ticketmaster.com, or via phone at 1-800-4-NBA-TIX.
Tickets for all games start as low as $10. In addition to the season opener on Friday, November 2 against the Indiana Pacers, highlights of the first half of the season include games against the Dallas Mavericks on November 10, the Philadelphia 76ers on November 30, the New York Knicks on December 5, the Los Angeles Clippers on December 12 and the Miami Heat on December 26.
A limited number of tickets to the Heat game will be available for purchase at the Bobcats’ Open House/Court Unveiling on Saturday, October 6, which will take place from 12:00-1:00 p.m. for season ticket holders and 1:00-3:00 p.m. for the general public.
Whitfield also unveiled the team’s schedule of promotional giveaways for the first half of the season, which includes T-shirts, bobbleheads, sports watches, blankets, hats and posters.
The season will begin with an Opening Night long sleeve T-shirt giveaway for the first 10,000 fans, presented by Lowe’s. The first 5,000 fans at the Mavericks game on November 10 will receive a Bobcats sports watch, courtesy of Coca-Cola. When the Bobcats host the San Antonio Spurs on December 8, the first 5,500 fans will get a blanket, courtesy of Presbyterian Hospital. On January 26, the first 5,000 fans will receive a T-shirt courtesy of Hanes when the Bobcats play the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The first half of the season will also include a pair of bobblehead giveaways, with the likeness of Kemba Walker being given out on November 23 when the Bobcats take on the Atlanta Hawks and 2012 NBA Draft pick Michael Kidd-Gilchrist being featured on December 29 when the team meets the New Orleans Hornets.
Along with several posters, the other giveaways for the first half of the season include hats for the first 5,000 fans at the Clippers game on December 12 and sweatshirt drawstring bags three days later for the first 5,000 fans when the Bobcats host the Orlando Magic on December 15.
