Charlotte, NC – Ryan Newman is known for his ninja-fast qualifying laps, and now he has a new weapon to help bring home the victory at Charlotte Motor Speedway – Raphael, the tough guy and brawler of Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Turtles.

Nickelodeon announced today that Newman will be driving a special No. 39 Quicken Loans Chevrolet featuring Raphael the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle for the Sprint Cup Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway on October 13, 2012.

“I’m really looking forward to driving the Quicken Loans Chevrolet with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the car,” Newman said.  “It is always fun to do something different, and I appreciate sponsors like Quicken Loans who are willing to have a little fun with the car and make things like this promotion happen.  Hopefully I can be the hero in a half-shell in victory lane next Saturday night.”

Earlier this week, Quicken Loans, the nation’s largest online mortgage lender, announced that it will be returning to NASCAR in 2013 as Ryan Newman and the No. 39 car’s primary sponsor, sponsoring a total of 18 races.  To celebrate, Quicken Loans launched the Skip-a-Year Sweepstakes, which will pay up to five entrants’ mortgages for a full year.  Fans can register at www.qlracing.com.
