BB&T Ballpark Construction Update for October 25

Charlotte, NC – The construction of BB&T Ballpark — the future home of the Charlotte Knights, continues to progress.

– Recently, crews removed a crape myrtle tree from the site (photos attached). The tree, which was originally planted at the site in February of 1998, was re-planted in the median of the 6400 block of Old Reid Rd (about 30 feet from the intersection of Archdale Rd).


– Demolition of the Virginia Paper Company Building was completed last week. Work on the building began on Tuesday, October 2.


– 4th Street roadwork continues, as well as mass excavation.


The entire construction process can be viewed 24 hours a day, seven days a week through the BB&T Ballpark webcam. Here is a link to view the webcam:
