CofC Baseball Announces 2012 Winter Instructs Camp

CofC BaseballCHARLESTON, S.C. -The College of Charleston baseball staff will hold a two-day instructional camp on Dec. 8th and 9th at Patriots Point Field for high school and junior college players.

The two-day camp will feature instruction along with live games, similar to the professional baseball instructional league. Saturday’s schedule will run from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with morning instruction and afternoon games. Sunday will start at 9:30 a.m. and end at 4 p.m.

Participants will be evaluated in-game with instruction from JUCO, college Division I and professional levels, and mechanics will be taught with the right view pro computer analysis. Camp instructors will be college coaches, scouts and current and former professional players.

Campers will get to meet with Michael Kohn, a former Cougar and current pitcher with the L.A. Angels, along with a pro scout and CofC coaches to learn about the college recruiting and professional draft process.

Space is limited to 55 campers and applicants will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. The camp cost is $150 per day. Feel free to direct all questions to assistant coaches Matt Heath ([email protected]) or Chris Morris ([email protected]).
