Charlotte, NC – The biggest day-after-Thanksgiving tradition in racing, the 20th annual Souvenir and Race Ticket Blow-Out, is returning Nov. 23 to provide fans with one-of-a-kind deals. Closing out Charlotte Motor Speedway’s week-long Thanksgiving celebration, which includes the Speedway Christmas kickoff on Monday and a viewing of the Capitol Christmas tree on Thanksgiving Day, the event gives consumers a unique way to enjoy the most popular shopping day of the year.
As part of Souvenir and Race Ticket Blow-Out, shoppers who spend at least $50 on merchandise or race tickets, or donate $25 to Speedway Children’s Charities, will get to drive their personal vehicle for three laps around the 1.5-mile superspeedway. This chance of a lifetime allows race fans to experience the steep, 24-degree banking and drive in the tire tracks of their favorite NASCAR stars.
The Black Friday sale will give fans the chance to shop at more than a dozen NASCAR souvenir rigs featuring merchandise from top NASCAR drivers including Kyle Busch, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Carl Edwards, Jeff Gordon, Kevin Harvick, Jimmie Johnson, Kasey Kahne, Danica Patrick, Tony Stewart and more. Merchandise will be offered at incredibly low prices with some items starting at just $1. A large variety of hats and t-shirts will be priced starting at just $3. The speedway gift shop will have a 20 percent discount on all clothing items, including popular Made in the U.S.A. apparel.
In addition to the souvenir trailers, the Charlotte Motor Speedway ticket office will be open throughout the event, offering shoppers the perfect gift for that race fan on their holiday shopping list. The first 100 shoppers to spend $100 or more on tickets, camping or pit passes for 2013 NASCAR or NHRA events at the speedway will receive a special gift.
Event hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 23. For more information on the Souvenir and Race Ticket Blow-Out, contact the Charlotte Motor Speedway gift shop at (704) 455-3202 or online at www.charlottemotorspeedway.com.

Starting at zMAX Dragway and weaving through the infield of the 1.5-mile superspeedway, families can experience more than 800 displays made up of more than 3 million holiday lights. There will also be a viewing of the holiday movie classic “Polar Express” on the world’s largest HDTV at 7 p.m. The cost of admission is just $20 a car load for up to eight passengers.
Shoppers can also bring their family out to have some holiday fun at the Coca-Cola Family Ice Rink presented by New Life 91.9 FM, located in the pavilion at zMAX Dragway. The cost to skate is just $12 per person and includes skate rental. Friday hours are from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
