This seasonal celebration, which follows our 2011 production of The Marvelous Wonderettes, finds the girls entertaining at the 1968 Harper’s Hardware Holiday Party. After welcoming the hardware store employees – you, the audience – the girls soon discover that Santa (who just happens to have the Christmas bonus checks!) is missing. In true Wonderette fashion, the girls use their talent and creativity to save the holiday party. The result is, of course, marvelous!

Back as Missy Miller is Lou Warth (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat). She is now married to Mr. Lee and is excited to share about their life of wedded bliss. Cindy Lou Huffington, once again portrayed by Shannon Willis Scruggs (Always Patsy Cline, Annie Get Your Gun), has become quite the cynic and is ready to leave her hometown for a new change of pace. Returning as Betty Jean Reynolds is Abigail Smith Ludwig (White Christmas, Guys & Dolls). Betty Jean, who has worked at Harper’s Hardware since high school, is now in Corporate Sales. Suzy Simpson, portrayed by Town newcomer Alexa Cotran, is a happy mommy to twins born in June, with another bun in the oven. Of course, hubby Ritchie is once again running the lights. Missy, Cindy Lou, Betty Jean and Suzy will sing their way into your hearts with holiday favorites such as “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Santa Baby” and “Winter Wonderland.” This energetic and entertaining show is guaranteed to be the perfect start to your holiday season.

The show’s Director is Allison McNeely; Musical Director, Lou Warth; Choreographer, Shannon Willis Scruggs; Costumer, Lori Stepp; and Scenic & Lighting Designer, Danny Harrington.

Show sponsors are Colonial Life and GMK Associates; season sponsors are South Carolina BlueCross, BB&T and The State.
