Charities participating in the tournament will have the opportunity to earn funds by selling tickets to the tournament, recruiting volunteers to work during tournament week, and by selling teams in the tournament’s one-day pro-ams. The organizations that excel at these programs will have the chance to earn additional funds through the tournament’s Bonus Pool.
“One of the main goals of South Carolina Charities, Inc. is to help fund local non-profits,” said Bob Nitto, president of South Carolina Charities, Inc. “The tournament’s risk-free programs have the potential to help these organizations earn thousands of dollars and affect real change.”
Charities will receive one-hundred percent of the sale of $10, $25 and $50 tournament tickets, which may be purchased at buybmwtickets.com starting in late January.
Charities will also receive half of the purchase price of all one-day pro-am foursomes and twosomes sold on behalf of their organization. To learn more about these opportunities, visit bmwproam.com.
Charities can earn additional funds by recruiting volunteers. Volunteer registration for the 2013 tournament will open on Feb. 1, 2013 at bmwcharitygolf.com.
“We hope that the Upstate community will rally around these charities to help them reach their goals and earn even more funds through the Bonus Pool,” said Darin MacDonald, executive director of South Carolina Charities, Inc. “A great perk of giving your support — whether it’s buying a ticket, a one-day proam team, or through volunteering — is that you also get to experience a unique and exciting event.”
