Charlotte Knights: BB&T Ballpark Update for January 18, 2013

Charlotte, NC – The calendar recently turned to 2013 and things are moving along nicely at the future home of the Charlotte Knights – BB&T Ballpark. Pitchers and catchers are set to report to Spring Training in less than a month, and baseball is on the minds of many.

Since September’s groundbreaking ceremony, Baseball in Uptown Charlotte is surely a hot topic amongst many. Month-by-month, milestones have been made at the site and things are really starting to take shape. Before long, baseball will be underway!

There is a lot of great buzz and excitement about baseball for 2013 and beyond. With the construction process now in its fifth month, let’s take a look at some of the most recent milestones.

Here is a brief construction update, along with some photos:

– Shoring and Decking Installed for 3rd Base Tunnel Roof – Home and Visitor Dugout Walls are formed and poured – Underground Electrical Installation – Underground Plumbing Installation
