The Bobcats had four players score in double figures against the Knicks but could not complete the comeback, eventually falling, 111-102, on March 29 in New York. Gerald Henderson tied his career high of 35 points and was the high scorer for the Cats. Kemba Walker contributed 16 points, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist scored 14 and Ben Gordon added 12. The Bobcats defense forced 14 Knicks turnovers, grabbed seven steals and blocked three shots.

The Knicks came out strong against the Cats, gaining an advantage with some quick 3-pointers by Raymond Felton, Carmelo Anthony and Iman Shumpert. The Bobcats continued to trail as the Knicks gained moment and took a 30-point lead in the second quarter. The Cats fought to come back in the third and fourth quarters decreasing the deficit. The Cats brought the score to a seven-point difference, 102-95, with 2:03 left in the fourth quarter, but could not get ahead of the Knicks, falling, 111-102.

The Knicks outscored the Bobcats in the first two quarters, but the Bobcats outscored the Knicks in the third 22-19. The Cats finished shooting 44.1 percent from the floor and 31.3 percent from 3-point territory… The Knicks finished shooting 51.7 percent from the field and 56.3 percent from long distance. Charlotte beat New York in points in the paint (34-32) and in second-chance points (20-8). The Bobcats defense forced 14 Knicks turnovers, grabbed seven steals and blocked three shots.

Gerald Henderson was on fire for the Cats scoring 35 points, which tied his career high. This is the second game in a row that Henderson has scored over 30 points. He was the leading scorer for Charlotte on 9-for-16 shooting. Henderson also dished out three assists, grabbed two steals and forced three turnovers.

Kemba Walker also scored in double figures for the Cats with 16 points, making him the second-leading scorer. He finished on 6-for-19 shooting and dished out eight assists. Walker also grabbed two steals and forced five turnovers.

JR Smith was hot off the bench for the Knicks scoring 37 points on 12-for-18 shooting. He was the leading scorer for New York and dished out an assist, grabbed a steal and forced four turnovers.

Gerald Henderson scored over 30 points for the second game in a row with 35 points… this tied his career high… Kemba Walker (16), Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (14) and Ben Gordon (12) also scored in double figures for the Bobcats… JR Smith was the leading scorer for the Knicks with 37 points, followed by Carmelo Anthony with 32 points…Byron Mullens was inactive due to a sore ankle… Ramon Sessions was inactive due to an MCL sprain.
