Cougars Set For Cross-Town Battle Versus The Citadel

CHARLESTON, SC April 2, 2013 – The College of Charleston men’s tennis team will face cross-town Southern Conference rival The Citadel on Wednesday, April 3 at 4 p.m. (ET) at the College of Charleston Tennis Center at Patriots Point in Mt. Pleasant, S.C. For the second time for the College this season, the doubles point will be broadcasted live on www.cofcsports.com via the Charleston Sports Network.

 

The Cougars (9-6, 4-2 SoCon) have been on an impressive hot streak, winning their last seven in a row. CofC went through a four-match stretch from March 10 to March 18 where the team won four straight Southern Conference matches by 4-3 scores.

The Bulldogs (7-10, 0-7 SoCon) have had a challenging season so far and are still in search of their first Southern Conference win. The Citadel will also be looking to get even after last year’s 6-1 loss to the College at the Earle Tennis Center.

 

After Wednesday’s match the Cougars will have two days of practice before heading up to North Carolina to continue SoCon play against Elon at 12 p.m. (ET) at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center in Elon, N.C.
