WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW men’s soccer team will stage “Harry’s Game,” a special exhibition friendly with UNC Chapel Hill on Saturday, April 6, to raise funds for area youth soccer players.

Admission will be $5 for adults and 15-under will be admitted free to the 7 p.m. contest between the Seahawks and Tar Heels.

The game is designed to raise awareness for Down’s Syndrome, with all proceeds benefitting the Cape Fear Soccer Association’s TOPSoccer program for kids with special needs. It will feature fun activities for children, including a bounce castle, face painting, as well as an appearance by popular UNCW mascot Sammy Seahawk. In addition, a special silent auction will be held to raise funds for the cause.

UNC Chapel Hill, the 2011 NCAA Division I champions, finished fifth nationally last season with a 16-4-3 record. UNCW won the 2009 Colonial Athletic Association championship and lost in the second round of the NCAA Tournament that season.

The contest is named for UNCW Head Coach Aidan Heaney’s son, Harry, who was born with Down’s Syndrome last fall.
