Greenville Little Theatre’s 2013/2014 Season

The Marvelous Wonderettes – A musical by Roger Bean – September 13 – 28

An Upstate premiere of the smash off-Broadway hit musical! The Wonderettes are 4 girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts. As we learn about their lives and loves, we are treated to such hit songs as “Rescue Me,” “Leader of the Pack,” “It’s My Party,” and many more.

Walking Across Egypt – By Clyde Edgerton – October 25 – November 10

A new play adapted from the bestselling novel by Clyde Edgerton. “Walking Across Egypt” is Mattie Riggsbee’s favorite hymn, but she lives far from Egypt in rural North Carolina.  Mattie has always been feisty, but at 78 she’s afraid she’s slowing down. That changes when she strikes up an unlikely friendship with juvenile delinquent Wesley Benfield. This heartwarming and beautiful story will restore your faith in mankind while proving that you’re never too old to be needed and never too lost to be found.

Spider’s Web – By Agatha Christie – February 21 – March 8, 2014

Clarissa, the second wife of Henry Hailsham-Brown, is adept at spinning tall tales for their bored diplomatic circle. When a murder takes place in her drawing room she finds live drama much harder to cope with. Closely woven with thrills and comedy, it’s Agatha Christie at her best as we are presented with lots of suspects in this classic whodunit.

Don’t’ Dress For Dinner – By Marc Camoletti adapted by Robin Hawdon – April 4 – 19, 2014

Some of the best comic actors in the Upstate will have you in stitches in this farce fresh off a Broadway revival. Bernard plans a weekend with his mistress at a French farmhouse.   He’s packing his wife off to visit her mother, arranged for a cook to prepare gourmet delights, and has invited his best friend to provide an alibi.  What could possibly go wrong?

Les Miserables – A musical by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schonberg  Lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer – May 30 – June 22, 2014

An international hit for more than two decades, Les Miserables is the epic story of forgiveness and hope, revolution

and romance, tragedy and triumph, and ultimate redemption.  Victor Hugo’s classic story is brought to life by an unforgettable score.  Join Jean Valjean, Inspector Javert, Fantine, Eponine, Cosette, Marius, and the Threnardiers in  a special night in the theatre.
