Benson, NC May 30, 2013 – Want to hear some good ole classic country music? Join us for the First Annual Down Home Classic Country Music Show on Saturday, June 8 at 7:00 PM in the W. J. Barefoot Auditorium located on Church Street in Benson. The show is being produced and directed by Tina Seldin Cash along with performers Erica Jones, Marshall McLamb, Johnny Mac McLamb, Linda Medlin, and Jonathan Parker.
Tina Seldin Cash is currently one of the North Carolina Lottery Hosts, announcing the winning lottery numbers on live television during the 11:00 news on WRAL. She worked as a news reporter and anchor for WRAL about 15 years ago and for Ted Turner’s WTBS in Atlanta prior to moving to North Carolina.
She left the news business about 15 years ago, and has been singing professionally, performing in hundreds of variety shows as emcee and vocalist in Johnston County. She also sings for churches, senior groups, civic clubs and special events. Carolina Harmony Chorus, the all-female, a-cappella group she sings with, recently won First Place in Sweet Adelines International Competition in Denver, Colorado.
Tina also does commercials for television and radio, and puts on a weekly children’s show called “FunTime with Miss Tina” for toddlers and moms. She is an avid supporter of various charities that help children, the elderly, and animal welfare.
