2nd Annual Carolina Coast Surf Club Exposition

Isle of Palms, SC June 24, 2013 – The Carolina Coast Surf Club and The Windjammer will host the 2nd annual Carolina Coast  Surf Club Exposition and Board Swap at The Windjammer on the Isle of Palms, SC. The event  will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2013 from 9 AM to 4 PM.

Carolina Coast Surf ClubThe event is designed to bring together the surf community, support local businesses, and to introduce our local surf sports to the public.

This is a family event and will include free lessons (registration required) in Stand up Paddle Boarding.

Chris Dixon, author of Ghost Wave will be returning this year. Chris will be signing books during the day will and present a film documentary at 4 PM.

Joseph Tormarchio and Shane Lasby, authors of My Daddy Taught Me to Surf and My Mommy Taught Me to Surf will be signing books.

Steve Rhea Surf Art will have an extensive display of original work.

Bill Simon, Surf Historian and Surf Board Appraiser will be here to appraise your vintage boards.

Windjammer Inc - Isle of Palms, South CarolinaLocal Surf Shops with related gear and equipment will be represented.

The Carolina Coast Surf Club was established in 1963 and reorganized as a South Carolina nonprofit corporation in 2001. Community Service activities include Beach Clean-up on Isle of Palms, volunteers in the Surfers Healing program and participation in Surfrider activities.

We have awarded $2,000 in College Scholarships to surfers and supported ESA Events as sponsors. Our membership is open to anyone with an interest in surfing and preserving the beaches and oceans for the generations that will follow us.
