Onslow Council for the Arts: Grassroots Sub-Grants now available

JACKSONVILLE, NC June 13, 2014 – Applications for Grassroots Arts Programs are now available from the Council for the Arts. The Council will be accepting applications for sub-grants for the 2014-2015 FY with funding available for arts programming in Onslow. “With funding from the NC State Arts Council’s Grassroots Arts Program we are able to provide quality arts programming for our citizens, school children and visitors. Grassroots Arts Program sub-grants in Onslow will fund arts-related programming such as community festivals, classes, workshops, choral society concerts, and poetry & writers workshops and performances” said Connie Wenner, the Executive Director of Council for the Arts.

The deadline for turning in applications is July 11, 2014.

Proposals must be for projects that occur between July 1, 2014 and June 30, 2015. Past recipients have been Georgetown High School Alumni Association, Jacksonville Recreation & Parks, Onslow County Parks & Recreation, Northeast Community Development and the Crystal Coast Choral Society.
