Charleston RiverDogs Postponed at Savannah on Friday

Contest will be made up in August as this series continues with single games on Saturday, Sunday

SAVANNAH, GA July 11, 2014 – Following heavy rains in the afternoon at Historic Grayson Stadium, Friday’s scheduled game between the Charleston RiverDogs and the Savannah Sand Gnats has been postponed due to unplayable field conditions.

The contest will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Monday, August 4 that will start at 5:35pm at Historic Grayson Stadium. Each game of that doubleheader will be scheduled for seven innings.

The rest of this week’s series will continue as scheduled with a 6:05pm contest on Saturday and a 2:05pm game on Sunday. Saturday’s coverage begins at 5:30pm with Saturday Dog Talk, a special 30-minute pregame show, on 1250 WTMA and www.riverdogs.com.

COMING UP: Charleston and Savannah will play game two of a rain-shortened three-game series at 6:05pm on Saturday. RiverDogs LHP Chaz Hebert (0-2, 4.10 ERA) will be scheduled to pitch against Sand Gnats RHP Robert Gsellman (7-3, 2.81 ERA). The RiverDogs will be back at home on Tuesday, July 15 to start a seven-game homestand, HOPE Week 2014, and the annual Youth Baseball Camp, presented by the Kickin’ Chicken.
