U.S. Mid-Amateur Qualifier at River Landing Rescheduled for Friday, August 8, 2014

From: Andy Priest, Carolinas Golf Association

WEST END, NC August 3, 2014 – Unfortunately due to the over 7 inches of rain that continues to fall at River Landing over the past 3 days, the U.S. Mid-Amateur Sectional Qualifier has been rescheduled for Friday, August 8. Tee times will begin at 12:10pm off #1 tee on the Landing course.

River Landing golf course

Course is unplayable and will not have any chance to dry out enough on Monday or Tuesday (original rain date) to play. For those of you that had been following the NC Amateur Match Play Championship being held at River Landing this week, we had to convert the course to an 18-hole par 3 course for the match play rounds due to the wet course conditions. In fact the championship match has also been rescheduled for Friday at 12:00pm in front of the qualifier.

Practice rounds will be available Thursday afternoon by calling the River Landing golf shop at 910-285-6693.

If you are unable to play on Friday please call me at the CGA office at 910-673-1000 as soon as possible and also call the USGA Championship Administration Department at 908-234-2300 to officially withdraw. I will reshuffle the groupings if necessary and let you know by Tuesday afternoon your new starting time.

Thanks for your understanding and let me know if you have any questions. – See more at: http://www.carolinasgolf.org/blog-post/home/homepage/year/2014/id/86514/u-s-mid-amateur-qualifier-at-river-landing-rescheduled-for-friday-august-8
