Individuals, organizations and businesses are encouraged to form walk teams or sponsor existing teams to raise money for Make-A-Wish® Eastern North Carolina. Walk for Wishes T-shirts will be provided to those individuals who raise $100 or more and corporate teams who raise $1,000 or more. Day of event registration and check-in begins at 12 noon with the walk starting at 2 pm. Local children who have either received their wishes or are currently having their wishes scheduled will be recognized during the events.
“During the last year, our chapter granted more than 200 wishes; however, there are many more children in our community waiting for their wishes,” said Make-A-Wish® Eastern North Carolina President & CEO Kristen Johnson. “With an average cost of $7,500 per wish, the need has never been greater. Through Walk for Wishes and community support, we can help make these wishes a reality and Share the Power of a Wish®!”
