Hayley Hammond of Mooresville, NC and Lea Venable of Simpsonville, SC fire an impressive 7-under par round of 65—132 to capture their first Carolinas Women’s Four-Ball Championship title together after a loss in a sudden death playoff in 2013. Their nearest competitors were nine shots back.  “It was like we were in a zone out there,” Hammond said.  “This win was sweet after our heartbreak last year,” Venable added.  The Hammond-Venable duo carded seven birdies in their final round.  “We played three holes and we were even par.  Lea (Venable) and I looked at each other and said alright c’mon we need to make some birdies.  Let’s get fired up!”  The duo would then go on to make four birdies in a row.  Converting birdie on holes, 4, 5, 6, 7 and turning 4-under for the day.  This is the second Carolinas Women’s Four-Ball title for Venable and Hammonds first.  “It feels good, real good,” smiled Hammond.
