UNCG developed strategic plan roadmaps growth for North Carolina’s wine and grape industry

GREENSBORO, N.C. – North Carolina’s wine and grape industry has experienced exponential growth in the past decade, employing more than 7,600 people. Now the industry has a five-year roadmap for continued growth and economic impact. Researchers from the UNCG Bryan School of Business and Economics have developed the first comprehensive strategic plan for the North Carolina wine and grape industry. Fans and community members can honor the heroes of 9-11 by donating blood at the track Too Tough To Tame   DARLINGTON, SC July 29, 2014 – Darlington Raceway will host its ninth annual Blood Drive event on Thursday, September 11. The Darlington Raceway Blood Drive has experienced tremendous success over the years. It’s important to remember that one unit of donated blood can be transfused to up to three people. TROY, NC July 28, 2014 — The Greater Uwharrie Conservation Partnership is hosting a free, day-long invasive species workshop for private forestland owners on Aug. 22 at Montgomery County Community College in Troy. The “Invasive Species: Identification and Management” workshop will begin a 9 a.m. with an overview from N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission staff on invasive plant species commonly found in the piedmont of North Carolina. Other presentations include early detection and rapid response procedures, as well as an update on new and emerging species, such as mile-a-minute vine and Cogongrass.
