GREENVILLE, NC Nov. 10, 2014 – Lots of pirate loot will be showcased at the Open House at the Queen Anne’s Revenge Conservation Laboratory Nov. 15, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Artifacts on view from Blackbeard’s flagship, Queen Anne’s Revenge, will include cannons, gold dust, navigational instruments. Conservators and archaeologists can explain the use of each prized object. Those who love pirates, archaeology and conservation will enjoy the free program. No registration is required. The Museum’s East Building, including special exhibition Small Treasures: Rembrandt, Vermeer, Hals, and Their Contemporaries will be open from 10 am−5 pm. The West Building, including Iris restaurant, will be closed. Admission to Small Treasures will be free for veterans, active duty military, and their families on Veterans Day.
