NCACPA Financial Fitness Course August 2, 2014 has been Cancelled

MORRISVILLE, NC July 31, 2014 – The Financial Fitness course scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 2, has been cancelled in an effort to review the delivery of the program and potentially coordinate it at pre-established functions. Hosting this program in conjunction with larger events will help to manage challenges with attendance and scheduling—obstacles which were encountered with the program planned for August 2. The Financial Fitness course is only one of many outreach efforts associated with NCACPA’s Financial Literacy initiative. These efforts span the state of NC and allow communities to request and interact with financial experts who provide presentations and support to groups seeking more information on personal finance resources. Exhibition highlights North Carolina artists who create hand-drawn works in a variety of graphic mediums   RALEIGH, NC July 31, 2014 —Beginning Saturday, August 30, 2014, the North Carolina Museum of Art (NCMA) presents Line, Touch, Trace, an exhibition of 30 hand-drawn works. Organized by Greenhill in Greensboro, N.C., the exhibition highlights 13 North Carolina artists who use graphite, ballpoint pen, conté crayon, ink, or charcoal to explore drawing in its relationship to thought processes.   In Line, Touch, Trace, artists may work with line to precisely render contours or as calligraphy on the drawing’s surface; apply touch to build tonal values or erase edges; and use traced marks to suggest elements of an imagined topography. GREENSBORO, N.C. – North Carolina’s wine and grape industry has experienced exponential growth in the past decade, employing more than 7,600 people. Now the industry has a five-year roadmap for continued growth and economic impact. Researchers from the UNCG Bryan School of Business and Economics have developed the first comprehensive strategic plan for the North Carolina wine and grape industry.
