Last night was fun! I went back to my roots for a hometown Halloween celebration with long-time friends and new-found favs. Halloween, after all, is one of my favorite holidays (one behind Earth Day, of course). Halloween is creepy funtastsic! The scariest thing about Halloween is the waste! Costumes that you might only use once, candy that comes in individual wrappers, and pumpkins only used to carve scary faces on them and then tossed, all these things add up. The USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service states that Americans have a demand for around 1.1 billion pounds of pumpkins per year.
