Jacksonville, NC – Today, we again turn our thoughts to the fallen heroes of September 11, 2001. Proudly we stand in their memory and acknowledge their ultimate sacrifice in lower Manhattan, New York; a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania; and the Pentagon in Arlington County, Virginia. It’s hard to believe it has been eleven years since that tragic day in which 2,977 of our fellow countrymen were killed, but history tells us otherwise. It was a day that changed so much about who we are. Never again can we take our freedom for granted; neither will we allow the enemy to take away from us what we hold dear without a fight. We will be ever watchful over our communities, our […]

Raleigh, N.C. – Here’s a flashback from the campaign trail: Speaking to a group of NFIB small business leaders in Raleigh back in June, Walter Dalton proudly proclaimed that North Carolina is “business friendly,” proving how out of touch he is with the reality facing small businesses and job-creators in our state. In fact, Lt. Governor Walter Dalton has been a part of the broken system of state government for over 15 years that has been turning its back on the needs of job-creators in our economy. He also disagrees that North Carolina’s state government is broken at all. If Lt. Governor Walter Dalton can’t even admit that North Carolina has a problem, how can he be trusted to fix […]
“We had a letter on our desk, there were armed guards at the doors,” he remembers. “We went to one place if we had one letter—and a different place if we had a different letter. And everyone that had the same letter I did—we were laid off that day.” –David Both, former employee of Bain Capital’s Interpath Communications in NC The Republican National Convention didn’t shy away from Mitt Romney’s time at Bain Capital. In fact, night after night, they touted his business experience as a qualification to “lead” the country. But here in North Carolina, we’ve already seen that experience at work—and it’s not what will move our state forward. The News & Observer recently published a detailed report […]
