Marlins Drop Season Finale, Eliminated From Playoffs

MOREHEAD CITY, N.C. – The Wilson Tobs (21-34 overall, 12-15 second half) defeated the Morehead City Marlins (25-30 overall, 15-13 second half) by a score of 7-6 to snap an 11-game winning streak in the regular season finale Thursday night at Big Rock Stadium. The Marlins were eliminated from playoff contention when the Martinsville Mustangs wrapped up a 4-2 win over the Gastonia Grizzlies just moments after the Marlins fell to the Tobs.
