Chapel Hill, N.C. – In Larry Fedora’s first year as head coach at North Carolina in 2012, the Tar Heels will play a seven-game home schedule that includes games against in-state opponents East Carolina (Sept. 22) and NC State (Oct. 27). GREENVILLE, N.C. Feb. 26, 2012 – The East Carolina softball team’s first game of a doubleheader at Houston on April 14 will be televised live on the FOX Sports Network, according to an announcement by Conference USA officials. The contest will begin at 3:00 p.m. ET inside the Cougar Softball Stadium. It will be the Pirates third television appearance in the last three seasons as their Conference USA Championship victories in 2010 and 2011 were broadcast on the CBS Sports Network. RALEIGH, NC – A new documentary, Cedars in the Pines: The Lebanese in North Carolina, chronicles the story of Lebanese immigration to North Carolina from 1890 to today. The one-hour film will premiere on Wednesday, March 28, at the North Carolina Museum of History, which is co-hosting the event with NC State University’s Khayrallah Program for Lebanese-American Studies.
