RICHMOND, Va. May 18, 2012 – East Carolina scored 12 unanswered runs from the fourth to the eighth innings to come from behind and defeat VMI 14-8 in game one of the 2012 Terry Sisisky Classic Friday afternoon at The Diamond. LAS VEGAS, Nev. May 18, 2012 – East Carolina women’s basketball head coach Heather Macy traveled to Las Vegas last week as a featured presenter at the 2012 Nike Basketball Championship Clinic. The event was held at the Orleans Arena. Of all the clinics held nationwide, the Las Vegas venue serves as the most prestigious and is regarded as the largest basketball clinic in the world. Macy led a discussion about her “Transition Inter-State Offense” and guided on-court demonstrations using players. BEAUFORT, NC – Fair winds and calm waters graced boaters in the 38th annual Wooden Boat Show at the North Carolina Maritime Museum in Beaufort on May 5. Nearly 50 handcrafted wooden boats, from canoes to power boats, lined Front Street and the Museum’s Watercraft Center docks. Time,TV Networks Set For First Two Carolina Football Games

Chapel Hill, N.C. – North Carolina’s season opener vs. Elon on Saturday, Sept. 1, will kickoff at 12:30 p.m. and will be televised by the ACC Network. The following week, the Tar Heels travel to Winston-Salem for a 3 p.m. kickoff vs. Wake Forest. That game will be televised by the Regional Sports Networks (RSN). The times and TV networks were announced Thursday by the Atlantic Coast Conference. Carolina’s road game at Louisville on Sept. 15 will be televised by either ABC, ESPN or ESPN2. ATHENS, Ga. May 17, 2012 — The East Carolina men’s golf team is in third place after the opening round of the NCAA Athens Regional at the University of Georgia Golf Course on Thursday. The Pirates shot 8-under 276 on the par-71, 7,253-yard links. Live Scoring/Results Today’s 276 marks the first under-par round that ECU has posted in its seven rounds of play in NCAA competition.
