Cummings Eager to Continue Career Overseas

Cummings Eager to Continue Career Overseas

By Sam Hickman ECUPirates.com Greenville, NC Feb. 21, 2012 – Four years ago, an undersized striker from Lee-Davis High School in Mechanicsville, Va., explored several options regarding her future. She didn’t know which route she would take in attempting to extend her life as an amateur soccer player. Ultimately, Kimmy Cummings would venture south and earn a roster position for Coach Rob Donnenwirth and the East Carolina Pirates as a walk-on. Once merely an afterthought, it’s now hard to envision the program without Cummings. Although Cummings concluded an illustrious career on the pitch in November with a loss to Memphis in the Conference USA Tournament, her contributions as a senior were of a decided triumphant nature. The former non-scholarship athlete […]

Walter “Bev Per-Two” Dalton Announces Run for NCGOV

Walter “Bev Per-Two” Dalton Announces Run for NCGOV

Doubles Down on “Per-Two” reputation RALEIGH, NC – NCGOP Spokesman Rob Lockwood had this to say, “This morning, the number-two man in Governor Perdue’s Administration made it official: he’s running for Governor. Not only that, but “Per-two” has made it clear through his early statements that he would want his administration to serve as the sequel to Perdue’s tenure in office. We can fairly state this, because “Per-Two” has yet to show any distinguishable difference or disagreement between himself and Perdue, so he is fighting hard to keep his nickname.”   Perdue/Dalton Platform on Major Issues: 1.) Both support the 15% increase on the sales tax on all North Carolina families “I don’t look at that as Governor Perdue’s sales […]

NC-DEM GOV Candidate Faison Hides from “Sales Tax” Pitch in TV Spot

NC-DEM GOV Candidate Faison Hides from “Sales Tax” Pitch in TV Spot

RALEIGH, NC – NCGOP Spokesman Rob Lockwood on Bill Faison’s first TV ad, “Bill Faison is the first candidate in the North Carolina Democratic Governor’s race to be up on television promoting a 15% sales-tax increase on every family in North Carolina. When amongst liberal supporters Faison doesn’t shy away from talking about his preferred new tax, but in this new ad he noticeably forgot to mention the core tenet of his ‘jobs plan.’ It would be interesting to see if the Occupy Movement that Faison frequently speaks with embraces his idea to tax everybody in North Carolina. If Faison is the nominee, it would also be interesting to see if President Obama thinks that raising taxes on every person […]

A southern-born Union officer and battles in the Western Theater are not typical discussions for North Carolinians, yet timely for the Civil War 150th commemoration. The Battle of Valverde took place along the banks of the Rio Grande, the first engagement in the far west of […]
