CLEMSON, SC July 25, 2014 – Clemson red-shirt junior receiver Charone Peake suffered a minor knee injury during off season workouts on Wednesday. He had   surgery on the knee on Friday morning and will miss at least the first week of practice, which opens on August 1. South Carolina Gamecock Men’s Basketball Visits Palmetto Children’s Hospital

COLUMBIA, SC July 25, 2014 – Members of the South Carolina men’s basketball team spent time visiting the Palmetto Children’s Hospital on Friday afternoon, signing autographs and playing with kids. The community outreach is part of the “8K In 8 Days” campaign for Gamecock men’s basketball. Sophomore guards Justin McKie and Duane Notice, and freshman forward TeMarcus Blanton attended the hour-long event. GREENSBORO, NC July 22, 2014 – Obtaining a bachelor’s degree in nursing just became easier and faster for military veterans who have hands-on medical experience. The School of Nursing at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro today announced the launch of an accelerated nursing degree program that provides course credit for military experience. The new program, the UNCG Veterans Access Program (VAP), will start January 2015 with a cohort of approximately 24 veterans.
