Went to the deck tonight for a cigarette and there was a huge pod of dolphins right off the starboard side of the stern…anchored off of South Edisto Island in SC. Incredible area. Haven’t heard an automobile in two days. Saw a Bald Eagle today while we were dropping anchor. It amazes me how close people are to something so overwhelmingly beautiful and most don’t take the time to see it. 111 Local Qualifiers Will Be Conducted Nationwide In May Far Hills, N.J. (Feb. 19, 2013) – The United States Golf Association (USGA) today announced local qualifying sites for the 2013 U.S. Open Championship, which will be contested at Merion Golf Club, in Ardmore, Pa., on June 13-16. DHEC Fish Consumption Advisories: www.scdhec.gov/environment/water/fish. Freshwater Report Mountains Area Lake Jocassee Largemouth bass: Improving. Similar pattern to past weeks, but the fish are moving shallow with low water levels. Try Spooks and Jitterbugs. Trout: Fair. Captain Steve Pietrykowski reports the trout are deep and trolling in the big water 70-110 feet down has been most effective. Live shiners and spoons will both catch fish, but the live bait has been producing better than hardware. Lake Keowee Largemouth and Spotted Bass: Fair, but improving.
