CHARLESTON, S.C. – The 2012-13 season represents a new era in Cougar Basketball and College of Charleston fans can reserve their seat to be a part of what promises to be one of the most exciting times in program history. CofC men’s and women’s basketball season tickets are still available for purchase. Men’s season tickets are priced at $280 (19 home games which include a ESPN Charleston Classic CofC Fan Pack (seating is general admission for the Classic)). Cougar Women’s Golf Gets Off to Fast Start Out West

PALM DESERT, Calif. -Senior Katharina Boehm carded a 4-under 68 second round to lead the College of Charleston women’s golf team as they opened play in the Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate with 36 holes on Saturday at the Classic Club. The Cougars opened the tournament with an 11-over 299 and came back with an 8-over 296 and are 19-over for the tournament. CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston continued its momentum from Friday night by sweeping Chattanooga (25-17, 25-15, 25-19) in SoCon volleyball action on Saturday evening at TD Arena. The Cougars (15-6, 7-1) earned their seventh sweep in conference play, while Chattanooga (8-14, 2-5) lost its fifth SoCon match. Once again, the Cougars took advantage of a major gulf in hitting percentage with CofC hitting .333 and Chattanooga managing just .097. PLEASANT, S.C. – The College of Charleston cross country teams got a preview of the course they will run the Southern Conference Championship on in two weeks as they competed at the Will Wilson Citadel Invitational on Saturday at Laurel Hill Plantation. The women were led by sophomore Hayley McMahon, who came within four seconds of her career-best as she finished fifth in the women’s 5K race in 18:08.40. The Cougars possessed well but struggled to get behind the nation’s best defense in the 3-0 result. CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women’s golf team will travel to Palm Desert, Calif., this week as they prepare to compete in the Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate Oct. 13-14 at the Classic Golf Club. The Cougars will have a practice round Friday, will start tournament play with 36 holes on Saturday and a final round 18 holes on Sunday. Saturday and Sunday will begin at 10:30 a.m. ET. In their last tournament the Cougars competed in the Penn State Invitational and finished in fourth-place.
