CHARLOTTE, NC June 21, 2014 – The Charleston Battery lost to the Charlotte Eagles by a score of three goals to one Saturday night at Queens University Stadium. Substitute midfielder Maikel Chang’s second half goal was the lone bright spot for the Battery in an otherwise muted performance. Charlotte scored their first goal in just the second minute after a defensive miscue by goalkeeper Odisnel Cooper who played the ball directly to Charlotte’s Juan Guzman inside the penalty-area. CHARLESTON, SC June 19, 2014 – The Charleston Battery heads to Charlotte, NC on Saturday night for a 7:00 PM USL PRO match versus the Charlotte Eagles.  This is the first of two meetings between the teams in 2014 with the return fixture set for Saturday, July 12 at Blackbaud Stadium.  The game will be broadcast locally on Sports Radio 1450 AM and via www.charlestonbattery.com.
