Eddie Radwanski’s team improves to 3-0 on the season and has scored 12 goals in the last two games. Freshman Salma Anastasio got the scoring started 10 minutes into the game off a pass from classmate Shannon Horgan, and the Tigers took the 1-0 lead into halftime.   One minute into the second half, sophomore Catrina Atanda got in on the action for her first goal of the season. The Tigers worked for over two hours on the practice fields behind the indoor facility. They will have one final practice on Thursday, but won’t be in full pads. CLEMSON, SC August 26, 2014 – Two days after recording her first career hat trick, sophomore forward Tori Andreski has been named NCAA D1 Women’s Disney Soccer/NSCAA Player of the Week and Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week for her performance during the week of Aug. 18-24. Andreski recorded four goals and one assist for nine points in two games last week, helping the Tigers to wins over Auburn (2-1) and Winthrop (7-0) to open the 2014 regular season. Clemson Tigers Knock Off UNC Asheville 2-0 in Final Exhibition

ASHEVILLE, NC August 23, 2014 – The Clemson men’s soccer team defeated UNC Asheville 2-0 in its final exhibition contest of the season Saturday night. The game was played at the Carolina Day School Soccer Complex in Asheville. Iman Mafi scored both Tiger goals in the first half. The first came in the 34th minute off an assist from junior T.J. Casner. Mafi’s second score was six minutes later, in the 40th minute, and was an unassisted goal for the sophomore midfielder. CLEMSON, SC August 23, 2014 – Thanks to goals by sophomore Tori Andreski and freshman Salma Anastasio, the Clemson women’s soccer team held off the Auburn Tigers to open the regular season with a 2-1 win on Friday night in front of more than 1,700 fans at Historic Riggs Field. At the 18:24 mark in the first half, Andreski scored a beautiful goal from 25 yards out in the middle of the field after a give-and-go assist from senior Katelyn Reeve. CLEMSON, SC August 18, 2014 — It was the last day of two-a-day practices for the Clemson football team.  The veterans practiced for 90 minutes in the morning, then the entire team worked for two hours in the evening.  The night practice ended a little after 9 pm. The freshmen had an academic meeting in the morning at Littlejohn Coliseum.  But, they were back on the practice fields in the evening. Hamilton Returns to Alma Mater as Graduate Manager   CLEMSON, SC August 18, 2014 — One of Clemson’s most renowned defensive players is returning to the program as a staff member. Vernon Hamilton has joined the Tigers as a graduate manager, the school announced today. Hamilton is Clemson’s career and single-season steals leader and played for the Tigers from 2003-07. Following his collegiate career, Hamilton played professionally overseas and domestically. He took part in NBA training camps with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2008 and Detroit Pistons in 2010. He played for four different NBA Development League teams, winning a championship with the Colorado 14ers in 2009. Hamilton also played for the Austin Toros, Erie BayHawks and Fort Wayne Mad Ants. Kailen Sheridan Selected to Preseason All-ACC Team

CLEMSON, SC August 18, 2014 – Sophomore goalkeeper Kailen Sheridan was named to the Preseason All-ACC Women’s Soccer Team as announced by the conference office on Monday. The 11-member preseason all-conference team was selected by a vote of the league’s head coaches. Sheridan, a native of Whitby, Ontario, was a member of the All-ACC Third Team and the ACC All-Freshman Team in 2013. She started all 19 games in goal for the Tigers during her rookie season, posting 66 saves and allowing just 18 goals.
