South Carolina Falls to 24th in the AP Poll and to 23rd in the Coaches Poll COLUMBIA, SC Sept. 7, 2014 – The University of South Carolina football team slipped a couple notches, but remained in both national polls released today. The Gamecocks (1-1) dropped three spots in the Associated Press poll to No. 24, while they fell two slots to No. 23 in the Amway Coaches’ poll. South Carolina was ranked 21st in both polls last week prior to a 33-23 win over East Carolina on Saturday night.
