It is the second time in track history that drivers have won the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series races at Darlington Raceway and claimed championship in same year DARLINGTON, SC Nov. 16, 2014 – Darlington Raceway celebrated its’ own historical moment on Sunday when Stewart-Hass Racing driver Kevin Harvick won the NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Harvick, who claimed his first career championship, joined Chase Elliott (NASCAR Nationwide Series) and Matt Crafton (NASCAR Camping World Truck Series) as the 2014 NASCAR top-tier touring series champions. RACE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS’ DANNY WHITE OFFICIALLY CERTIFIES BOJANGLES’ DARLINGTON MARATHON COURSES Registration taking place at DarlingtonMarathon.com   DARLINGTON, SC August 15, 2014 – The race courses for the Sept. 26-27 Bojangles’ Darlington Marathon Presented by Sam Carbis Solutions Group have been officially certified by Danny White of Race Management Systems. The certification ensures all the distances are exact and allows the competitors to qualify for other signature events such as the 2015 Boston Marathon.   USA Track & Field (USATF) will recognize times from the Darlington Marathon as official finishing times. Fans and community members can honor the heroes of 9-11 by donating blood at the track Too Tough To Tame   DARLINGTON, SC July 29, 2014 – Darlington Raceway will host its ninth annual Blood Drive event on Thursday, September 11. The Darlington Raceway Blood Drive has experienced tremendous success over the years. It’s important to remember that one unit of donated blood can be transfused to up to three people. Newspring Church to host Race Day 500 Festival at Darlington Raceway on July 12

DARLINGTON, SC July 7, 2014 – Darlington Raceway will be the site for another family-fun community event this Saturday, July 12, when NewSpring Church brings the Race Day 500 Festival to the track Too Tough To Tame. The festival is free and open to the public beginning at 6 p.m. Activities during the event will include lawnmower racing, inflatables, pace car rides, live music, food vendors and a fireworks show.
