CHARLOTTE, NC July 23, 2014 – Charlotte Hornets General Manager Rich Cho announced today that the team has signed free agent guard Brian Roberts.  Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. COLUMBIA, SC July 19, 2014 – In the First Annual Innersole Celebrity Softball Fun-Raiser, South Carolina women’s basketball coach Dawn Staley and her charity hosted an entertaining event for both players and fans at Carolina Softball Stadium Saturday night. Staley’s team picked up the 11-5 win in regulation, but South Carolina Athletics Director Ray Tanner’s squad rallied for eight runs in the “extra” eighth inning for a 13-12 final. Charlotte Hornets trade Scotty Hopson to New Orleans Pelicans

CHARLOTTE, NC July 13, 2014 – Charlotte Hornets General Manager Rich Cho announced today that the team has traded guard Scotty Hopson to the New Orleans Pelicans in exchange for cash considerations. The Hornets acquired Hopson yesterday, along with cash considerations, from the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for center Brendan Haywood and the draft rights to forward Dwight Powell, the 45th overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. Hornets Sports & Entertainment owns the Charlotte Hornets and operates Charlotte’s Time Warner Cable Arena.
