NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. –  The College of Charleston men’s basketball team snuck away with a 72-67 win over Charleston Southern on Wednesday night at Buccaneer Fieldhouse. It was more than 16 years since both teams met in the small confines of the 881-seat venue, the smallest in all of NCAA Division I. Nikki Dixon had 14 points and nine rebounds, and Danaejah Grant added 12 points and nine rebounds for the Tigers. The loss was Clemson’s fifth this season by two possessions or fewer. GAINESVILLE, Fla. – College of Charleston will travel to Gainesville, Fla. this weekend for a first round match against No. 23 Miami (Fla.) in the 2012 NCAA Volleyball Tournament. The Cougars (26-7) will play the Hurricanes (25-5) on Friday, Nov. 30 at 5 p.m. in the O’Connell Center on UF’s campus. The winner of that match will take on the winner of No. 15 Florida/Tulsa in the single-elimination sub-regional on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The Cougars enter the NCAA Tournament after securing the Southern Conference automatic bid with a five-set victory over Furman in the SoCon title match.
