MT. PLEASANT, S.C. – The College of Charleston men’s soccer team fell in overtime, 2-1, to Georgia Southern on a chilly and windy Saturday night at Patriots Point. The loss prevented CofC from locking up the Southern Conference regular-season championship on Saturday night, but the Cougars still control their own destiny heading into Tuesday night’s season finale against Wofford. The match saw the Cougars in control of the play while outshooting and out-possessing the Eagles. WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Hurricane Sandy made its approach to coastal North Carolina early Saturday and delayed the second day of competition in the 11th Landfall Tradition following the completion of 9-11 holes. The 17 teams and five individuals teed off at 9 a.m. and made their way through driving rain and breezy conditions before rules officials halted play at 12:09 p.m. Completion of the second round is tentatively scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

GREENWOOD, S.C. – The College of Charleston equestrian team returns to the ring this weekend with a two-day Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) show hosted by Lander on Saturday, Oct. 27 and Sunday, Oct. 28. The Cougars seek to expand upon their lead in the newly-realigned IHSA Zone 5 Region 3. CofC leads the region by three points over second-place South Carolina after the Cougars put their best hoof forward in a first-place finish at Georgia Southern in the opening show of the season.
