Dec. 2, 2012 – South Carolina will face Michigan in the 2013 Outback Bowl as announced by bowl officials on Sunday evening. Second Straight Year for Freeman Clemson, SC December 3, 2012 – Clemson center Dalton Freeman has been named one of six finalists for the 2012 Rimington Award. The honor is presented each year to the top center in college football. It is the second consecutive year that Freeman has been named a finalist and he is the only current center in college football who can make that claim. Freeman is the second two-time Rimington Award finalist in Clemson football history. The other was Kyle Young, a finalist in 2000 and 2001. Brenton Williams leads the Gamecocks with 16 points COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina (5-3) fell to intrastate rival Clemson (5-2) 64-55 in non-conference action at Colonial Life Arena on Sunday afternoon. Junior guard Brenton Williams led the Gamecocks with 16 points. Two other Gamecocks registered double figures in the contest.
