WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW men’s basketball team plays the first of only two December home games Wednesday when NCAA Division II Coker of Conference Carolinas visits Trask Coliseum for an 8 p.m. tip-off. The Seahawks and Cobras battle in the second game of a rare doubleheader that features the UNCW women taking on UNC Charlotte in the opener at 5 p.m. It will be “Toys for Tots” night at the arena, with anyone bringing a new, unwrapped toy gaining admission for just $5. CHARLESTON, S.C. – Redshirt junior men’s basketball player Willis Hall (Charlotte, N.C.) and redshirt junior volleyball player Darcy Dorton (Muncie, Ind.) earned College of Charleston Student-Athlete of the Week honors sponsored by Piggly Wiggly for the week of Dec. 3. Hall led College of Charleston to a 2-0 week with wins at Charleston Southern and Elon. He registered his third career double-double with a game- and season-high 19 points and 12 rebounds at Elon in the team’s lea¬gue opener on Dec. 1. Sandra Adeleye Earns AVCA All-Region Honors for Fourth Consecutive Year

CLEMSON, SC Dec. 4, 2012 – Sandra Adeleye was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-East region team on Tuesday. Adeleye made it a clean sweep for her career, becoming the second Clemson volleyball player ever to earn the honor in all four of her seasons. Jodi Steffes Welp, now an assistant with the team, was the other, when she was All-Region from 1998-2001. Adeleye is one of just four players in the 2012 class nationally who can claim four consecutive All-Region selections.
