Sanders, Swearinger Earn Second Team Accolades COLUMBIA, S.C. (December 3, 2012) – University of South Carolina sophomore defensive end Jadeveon Clowney was a unanimous selection to the Associated Press first-team All-SEC squad, it was announced today. Clowney, a 6-6, 256-pounder from Rock Hill, S.C., is second in the nation in both sacks (13.0) and tackles for loss (21.5), both single season school records. He is a finalist for the Nagurski, Lombardi, Bednarik and Hendricks awards. Carolina junior all-purpose back Ace Sanders and senior safety D.J. Seven Tigers Named First-Team All-ACC by CBS Clemson, SC Dec. 3, 2012 – Clemson wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins was named a second-team All-American by CBS Sports on Monday. He was one of seven Clemson players named first-team All-ACC by the same media organization. Hopkins was one of six Tigers on the first team offense as he was joined by quarterback Tajh Boyd, running back Andre Ellington, tight end Brandon Ford, center Dalton Freeman and tackle Brandon Thomas on offense. DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Former South Carolina All-American Katie Burnett earned Category 17 status for the 2013 LPGA season on Sunday as she finished tied for 24th in the final stage of LPGA Qualifying School at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla. Burnett posted rounds of 72-72-76-67-71=358 (-2) during the five-day tournament to become one of 28 golfers that secured partial membership. Clemson, SC – The Clemson Tigers are heading to the Chick-fil-A Bowl in Atlanta to take on the LSU Tigers on December 31! The Clemson Athletic Ticket Office is currently accepting ticket orders from IPTAY members. IPTAY members may now log onto their online ticket account using their IPTAY number and password to order tickets. To receive IPTAY ticket priority, orders must be placed by Tuesday, December 4 by 7pm. The Ticket Office will have extended office hours on Monday, December 3 and Tuesday December 4 from 8am-7pm.
