Columbia, SC – The University of South Carolina football team practiced Wednesday afternoon at the Bluff Road “Proving Grounds.” The Gamecock, 9-2 and ranked 12th in the BCS Standings, are preparing for Saturday’s regular season finale at No. 11 Clemson (10-1). Four-Year Pirate Coach, AD Terry Holland Mutually Agree On Departure GREENVILLE, N.C. Nov. 21, 2012– East Carolina Head Volleyball Coach Pati Rolf and Director of Athletics Terry Holland have mutually agreed not to renew Rolf’s contract for the 2013 season. Rolf has been at the helm of the Pirate program since 2009. Rolf spent four years in a leadership role with the Pirates in which she compiled a 15-101 overall record. Her teams achieved consecutive marks of 9-19 in 2009, 2-30 in 2010, 2-27 in 2011 and 2-25 for the recently-completed 2012 campaign. RALEIGH, N.C. (Nov. 21, 2012) — Coyote hunting at night with the aid of an artificial light will be disallowed temporarily in five counties — Dare, Tyrrell, Hyde, Washington and Beaufort — pending the outcome of a lawsuit questioning the temporary rule adopted by the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission. Wake County Superior Court Judge Paul Ridgeway issued a preliminary injunction halting coyote hunting at night with the aid of artificial light only in those five counties. The Corolla Wild Horses Protection Act, S 3448, sponsored by North Carolina Senator Kay Hagan and cosponsored by NC Senator Richard Burr, has been sitting in the United States Senate Environment and Public Works Committee since March of this year. It was passed unanimously by the US House of Representatives on February 6. This bill is absolutely critical to the long term survival of the free-roaming wild horses living north of Corolla. Kohn worked with local volunteers from the Mitchell School District to help identify 20 families in need with children that attend Mitchell Math & Science Elementary on peninsular Charleston.
