Carolina RailHawks Announce Partnership with Triangle Soccer Development

Friday Night Soccer to be led by RailHawks Forward, Brian Ackley CARY, NC – The Carolina RailHawks have announced a partnership with Triangle Soccer Development and the Friday Night Soccer training program. Friday Night Soccer is an enjoyable program for adult soccer players who wish to continue their development and love of the game. The training will be held at WRAL Soccer Center for six Friday nights in March, April, and May from 8:15pm to 9:45pm and will be led by RailHawks forward and local product Brian Ackley. Game moved to Thursday, March 14 Charleston, SC March 11, 2013 – The Charleston Battery heads to Cary, NC on Thursday for a pre-season match versus the Carolina RailHawks; kick off is set for 3:00 PM.  This match was originally scheduled for Friday, March 15.  Following the game against the RailHawks the Battery is home on March 19 and March 23 as it continues preparations for the April 13 USL PRO season opener in Richmond. Charleston Battery defeats Coastal Carolina in pre-season scrimmage Charleston, SC March 7, 2013 – The Charleston Battery defeated Coastal Carolina University by a score of two goals to one in a pre-season scrimmage Thursday evening at Blackbaud Stadium.  2012 USL PRO Rookie of the Year Jose Cuevas led the way scoring both Battery goals to take his pre-season tally to five. Cuevas opened the scoring in the 10th minute after a flicked header from forward Heviel Cordoves.  The ball squirmed past the Coastal goalkeeper and Cuevas tapped in from close range. New team camp to be offered in 2013 Charleston, SC March 5, 2013 – The Charleston Battery has set dates for its 2013 summer soccer camps. Once again the Battery will offer six weeks of camp at Blackbaud Stadium on Daniel Island with the first week starting June 10, 2013. In addition to training at the stadium, campers also get to enjoy lunch daily in the Three Lions Club and all campers are invited back to a camp party at the Charleston Battery game on August 3rd. SURF CITY, NC March 6, 2013 – With over 30 teams expected in Surf City Youth Soccer, more volunteer coaches are needed according to Athletic Supervisor Steve Unger. “We need about a dozen more coaches for teams that have players from ages three to ten,” he says. “It really does not take a soccer superstar to coach a team – just a teen or an adult who can give two to three hours a week to have fun for a good cause.” All soccer coaches take an online training course and receive information on the game and league philosophy.
