The matchup will be broadcast on ESPN3. College Alumni Return to Teach Summer Course in Public Health   CHARLESTON, NC July 14, 2014 – The College of Charleston welcomed back two alumni on July 10, 2014 to teach a Summer II course titled Global Perspectives on Poverty, Inequality and Vulnerability. Honors College alumni Melissa Siegel ’03 and Stephanie Wheeler ’03 are co-teaching the class. Siegel, a former economics major, is an associate professor in the Netherlands at Maastricht University’s Graduate School of Governance and a senior researcher and the United Nations University where she heads the Migration Studies research group.  Wheeler, a former double major in biology and theatre, is an assistant professor of health policy and management at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Gillings School of Global Public Health. CofC Cougars Finish Fourth at Szambecki Team Race

CHARLESTON, SC March 24, 2014 – The No. 4-ranked College of Charleston coed sailing team finished fourth at the 2014 Aaron Szambecki Team Race held over the weekend in Norfolk, Va. Hosted by Old Dominion, sailors were met with temperatures in the low 70s on shore with a sunny southwest wind. The Cougars went 14-7 against the eight-team field comprised of ODU, Georgetown, U.S. Naval Academy, Dartmouth, Stanford, St. Mary’s College of Maryland and Yale.
